Yolanda DeMartino

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Yolanda De Martino. Mom left us on August 4, after recently celebrating her 97th birthday. She was blessed with a beautifully lived life. Full of love, laughter, and open arms, she touched the lives of all who knew her.

Mom was intensely dedicated to her immediate and extended family and friends.

Mom was married to the love of her life Donald (Don) S. De Martino. Dad left us, all too early, in 1981.

Mom was predeceased by her parents, Philip and Sarah Buzzanca, and all of her sisters and brothers, Libby, Basil, Frank, Vivian, Anita, John and Victor.

Left behind to carry on are her children and their spouses, Ralph (Susan), Louise (Red), Sarah (Joseph) and Frank (Christine), and her grandchildren and their spouses, Andrew (Ryan), Matthew (Laura), Kira (Courtney), Alexandra (Joey), Michael, Taylor, Justin, Donald and Derek. Mom was also blessed with 9 beautifully spirited great grandchildren, Celia, Nora, Emma, Kinsey, Lila, Everly, Owen, Holly and Vivienne.

To commemorate her incredible journey and to celebrate the love she spread, a memorial service will be held in her honor at the Cassidy Funeral Home, 156 Willis Avenue, Mineola, NY 11501, starting with visitation from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Thursday, August 7, 2025 and visitation and services the next day, Friday, August 8, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will follow at the Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd., Calverton, NY 11933, where Yolanda will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.
