William "Bill" Ambrose

AMBROSE – William, of Mineola, NY passed away at home on June 14, 2024, at the age of 85 with his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Christine, at his side. Bill proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and his passing on Flag Day is a fitting comfort to his family. Loving father of Sean, Billy, Keith and Maureen. He is survived also by 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Manager of the Printing and Mailing Department of Eastern Railroad for 28 years and dedicated public employee of the Village of East Hills DPW for 11 years. Bill enjoyed model railroading, cigars, fly-fishing and listening to Ceol na nGael – the Music of the Irish - on Sunday afternoon’s on WFUV. Visitation Sunday, June 23 from 3-8 pm at Cassidy Funeral Home, 156 Willis Avenue, Mineola, NY. Funeral Mass at Corpus Christi Church, Monday June 24 at 10:30 AM, 155 Garfield Avenue, Mineola. Burial to follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, 321 Jericho Turnpike, Old Westbury, NY.
