Vera M. Barrick

Vera M Barrick of Mineola, NY died on June 1, 2024

Born on February 18, 1930 daughter of William and Emily

Power of Mineola. Vera was a graduate of the Mary Lewis

Academy, and The Pratt Institute of Technology Brooklyn.

Vera was married on November 2 1952 to Randol Barrick of

Arapaho Oklahoma. Vera had 4 sons William, Thomas, Raymond,

and Daniel. Her husband Randol, as well as her two sons

Thomas and Daniel preceded her. She has 4 Grandchildren,

James, Joanna, Erin and Caroline, and 3 Great-grandchildren,

Harper, McKenna, and Juniper,

Vera was employed by Saks Fifth avenue of Garden City, she

worked for 25 years.

She was a long-time parishioner of Corpus Christi Church

(Mineola). Vera volunteered in several church ministries

notably individual confraternity instruction for those

making confirmation. She was also a companion for several

disabled adults after her husband passed. In addition, she

volunteered at the Nassau County children’s museum.

Vera enjoyed dressmaking, painting, and drawing. She was

always dedicated to her family.
