Rose Sweeney

On August 16, 2023, Rose Sweeney passed away to be in peace. Rose was a loving mother to Carrie and

Patrick and her daughter-in-law, Bernadette. She was the beloved grandmother to Henry, Noah, and

Emilia. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Rose was one of 4 and survived by her brother, Joseph Normann.

Rose was a Bus Driver and Transportation Supervisor for Hauppauge School District for 20+ years. When

her health permitted, Rose could always be found outside playing with the dogs we grew up with or in

the garden tending to her annuals, perennials, and vegetables. Rose was an incredible individual that

always left a smile people’s faces, whether a stranger or friend. A voluminous note taker, avid

crossworder, amazing filer/organizer, and a patient teacher of poker to her grandkids, Rose was so

generous with all of those she knew.
