Robert Teemsma

Robert Teemsma, 77, of Mineola, NY, and Florida, passed away on July 16, 2025. Born on April 26, 1948, Robert lived a life defined by faith, family, and service. A devout Catholic, his unwavering faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him through 53 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Kyle.Robert dedicated 37 years to the Nassau County Police Department, retiring as a respected officer known for his integrity and compassion. He cherished splitting his time between Mineola and Florida, where he built lasting memories with his family and Friends. Robert’s quick wit, humor, and devotion to those he loved left an indelible mark.He is survived by his wife, Kyle; seven children, Erin (Lorne), Mara, Megan (Frank), Christopher (Laura), Brianne (Eric), Lisbeth (Carl), and Peter (Kim); and 16 cherished grandchildren, Aaron, Morgan, Anghus, Alana, Anikka, Madelyn, Lucia, Paige, Eamonn, Carter, Rylan, Andi, CJ, Kiera, Maxwell, and Freya. A funeral Mass will be held at Corpus Christi Church, Mineola, on Monday July 21, 2025, at 10:30 AM, His legacy of love and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
