Richard M. O'Callaghan

Richard M. O’Callaghan, retired Village of Mineola Justice and trial attorney, passed away peacefully on

September 14, 2022, at the age of 87. Beloved husband to Marguerite for sixty years, devoted father

of Eileen Quinn (Joseph), Jane Rubalcaba (Jon), and Sheila Gomsak (Scott). Loving Pop-Pop of

Audrey, Kieran, Julia, Jamison, Gavin, Carter, Scott, Amanda and Chelsea. Proud great-grandfather of

Stephen, Lucy, Kayley and Maggie.  Dick was an avid golfer, dancer, St. John's Red Storm basketball

and Brooklyn Dodger's fan. Friends and family may pay their respects at Cassidy Funeral Home, 156

Willis Avenue, Mineola on Saturday, September 17th, from 7-9 pm, Sunday, September 18th from 2-4

and 7-9 pm.  Funeral Mass to be held on Monday, September 19th at 10:30 am at Corpus Christi

Roman Catholic Church, 155 Garfield Avenue, Mineola.
