Patricia Ann Carroll

Patricia Ann Carroll born in Queens, NY and a longtime resident of Mineola, NY passed away peacefully at the age 85 on December 5th, 2022. Beloved wife of John Joseph Carroll for 59 years; loving mother of Jennifer (Owen Sutton), John Joseph Jr, Veronica, and Lawrence (Lauren). Patricia leaves behind five beautiful grandchildren, Owen, Luke, Patrick, Dylan and Julia; dear sister Jean (the late Alfred) Christoffer and sister-in-laws Patricia (the late Daniel) Carroll, Claire (Jim) Leedham; she will be missed by many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Jean Spears, brother Charles (the late Evelyn) Spears, sister Mary Jane (the late George) Watkins, and brother-in-law, Daniel Carroll. Patricia worked as an underwriter for Treiber Insurance, Long Island, NY for 25 years before her retirement in 2005. However, you may have remembered her as Patty, Patty Ann, Aunt Patty, Mom, Nanny or even coach. Patricia loved people and always celebrated big on birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and made a special time for everyone. Although she is remembered for her famous family meals, no one was surprised to see her having a baseball catch with her children and neighborhood kids. Her sense of adventure laid the foundation and pathway for her children and grandchildren to never say no to Life. Though Patricia was never for a loss of words, her most frequent saying was, “John turn down the music!” Simply put you will be missed and in our memories always.
