Mary Fitton

A MASK MUST BE WORN IN THE FUNERAL HOME. *NYS LAW Mary L. Fitton (nee Grootegoed) of Mineola, NY on July 14 at the age of 89. Predeceased by her parents Cornelius and Emily (nee Taylor).  Beloved wife of the late Robert D, loving mother of Kathy (late Jerry), Barbara, Pam, Marianne, Jill, and Robert (Concetta Marie). Cherished Nani of Jacqueline (George), Jessica (Ryan), Kaitlin (Kenny), Sarah, Emily, Katherine, Robert John, Matthew, Ashley, Robert Douglas, James, Kevin, Mary, and Thomas and great Nani to Charlotte MaryJean. Mary was a proud Registered Nurse who attended Mary Immaculate in Jamaica, Queens. She was very active in the Corpus Christi / Mineola community serving many roles / organizations including Extraordinary Minister, Catholic Daughters of America #444, Rosary Altar Society, Pre-Cana, Marriage Encounter, Religious Education, and Parish Outreach among others. She also volunteered distributing flu shots to the elderly, making meals at the INN, Meals on Wheels, and countless other works of charity.
