Marie Benante Obituary

Marie Benante passed away at 100 years old on May 3, 2026, in Georgia where she lived with her daughter. She was born in 1926 in Brooklyn and moved to Mineola in 1954 where she raised her family and lived in the same house for 65 years. She was a long-time parishioner of Corpus Christi Church. She sang in the choir and was a member of the Catholic Daughters. She worked for many years at the Nassau County Department of Assessment in Mineola.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents Josephine and Paul, her husband Francis, and her son Thomas. She is survived by her children Frank, Richard (Karina), and Joanne; her grandchildren John Paul (Kristin), Luke, and Sophia; and her great grandchildren Leo and Dominic.

She will remain in our hearts forever.
