Kathleen Ann Imbornoni

It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Kathleen (Kay) Imbornoni on September 11, 2024, at the age of 84.

Kay is survived by her siblings John Bambury (Margaret) and Caroline McManus(Leo). She is the mother of Robert(Becky), John(Anne), Thomas(the late Mary-Gwen) and her favorite daughter Kathy(James). Kay loves her grandkids and great grandkids beyond measure. The entire family loves traveling together and made many memories cruising to various locations. A favorite past time was shopping, specifically hunting for bargains and then showering the grandkids with gifts! She had many nieces and nephews whom she treasured. She was a friend to many and along with her late Husband Bob shared many fantastic memories particularly with friends at the Hewlett Point Yacht club and with the Mineola K of C council

Kay was very studious, she bragged about skipping the “5B” often. She attended nursing school at Kings County and had a very successful career as a nurse. In 1990 she obtained an additional degrees from St Joseph’s college. She retired from the NYC Transit authority.

Kay spent the last several years as a resident of the Babylon Beach House. The views were stunning but the company was beyond compare! We are eternally grateful for the love and care of the BBH staff.

Kay was one of a kind. A daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Godmother, Niece, Aunt, co-worker and Friend. She will be missed beyond measure .
