Joseph J. Wilson

May 4, 1929 — February 7, 2024

Joseph J. Wilson, 94, of Williston Park, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Our Lady of Consolation Rehabilitation Center. He was the son of the late Joseph J. & Ellen G. (Ward) Wilson.

A graduate of Chaminade High School (1947) and St. Anselm College (1951), Joseph was a US Army veteran and a federal civil servant with the Defense Investigative Service for 31 years. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Dorothy Wilson; his nieces, Kathleen (John) Santillo, Maryann (David) LeBlanc and Patricia (Patrick) Meade; his nephews, Rev. Edward Wilson, Jr. and the late Thomas Wilson, as well as many additional relatives and friends. He was the dear brother of the late Edward J. Wilson, Sr.

Joseph was a man deeply grounded in his Catholic faith and considered St. Aidan’s Church, Williston Park his second home. His kindness, humility and selfless service to others will be remembered always.

The Wilson Family would like to extend a special thank you to Sean and Jill Kennedy for all their years of support and kindness to Joseph. They were the son and daughter-in-law he never had. He loved them deeply.
