Gloria Lombardo

Gloria Lombardo passed away peacefully on January 8, 2022 at the age of 95. She was surrounded by her loving family who admired the poise and dignity she carried with her throughout her life. Survived by devoted children Maryanne (Timothy), Barbara (Roger), and Christine (David) and cherished grandchildren Joanna, Dylan (Emily), Eric and Alana. Her tenacity and grace will be greatly missed. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, William Lombardo, her sister, Virginia Yezzi and her brother, Robert Ciani. She was a long-time resident of Bayside, NY and an original, dedicated parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Church. Gloria was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a beloved Aunt to all of her nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. She worked for many years at St. John's University and previously at Bayside Federal Savings Bank. She enjoyed entertaining, cooking, and paid special attention to cooking shows. Those who knew Gloria would recognize her impeccable taste in all things, whether it be a flower arrangement, a birthday card, or her own classic style.
