It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Giuseppe Averaimo, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us peacefully on August 11, 2025 at the age of 83
Born on February 18, 1942 in Somma Vesuviano, Naples, ( A sibling of 1 of 9 ) he built a life defined by hard work, dedication, and a deep love for his family. He was the proud father of four children and devoted much of his life to providing for them, teaching by example the value of hardwork, integrity, and kindness.
A man of many talents, Giuseppe began his career as a skilled plumber. His work ethic and determination later led him to also become a successful restaurant/pizzeria owner at the same time. Here is where he poured his passion for food into an already busy life. Never one to shy away from a challenge, he went on to explore even more ventures as an entrepreneur, always finding new ways to build and create.
Outside of work, Giuseppe had a generous spirit and a quick smile. He was happiest when surrounded by family, sharing meals, in his garden planting his fresh vegetables, telling stories, or driving around his grandkids . His belief in life was that true success comes from hard work, love, and family.
He is survived by his four children, as well his six grandchildren.
A celebration of Giuseppe’s life will be held on August 15, 2025 at Cassidy Funeral Home in Mineola, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the pulmonary fibrosis foundation at Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (https://secure.qgiv.com/for/pulfibfou/) in his memory Giuseppe Averaimo.
Though his hands are now at rest, the legacy of his hard work, generosity, and love will be carried out in his memory and in our hearts .
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; LOVE leaves a memory no one can steal."
Love you Dad.
