Filomena Iavarone

Iavarone (Palumbo)- Filomena of Mineola, New York, left us peacefully on October 26, 2024 at the age of 73, Native of Cicciano, Italy. Beloved daughter of the late Aniello Palumbo and Carolina Palumbo. Filomena is also predeceased by her beloved husband Pasquale Iavarone, whom she loved dearly and cared for immensely. Devoted mother of Felicia Verdi, Anthony Iavarone, and wife Corrie. Beloved and cherished grandmother of Nicholas, Tyler, Angelina, Katerina, and Nathanial.

Filomena is also the beloved sister to seven siblings who she cared for and loved dearly, Luigi, Saverio, Sabatino, Giuseppe, Domenico, Rosa Murphy, and Francesca Ferreri. The bond she shared with siblings, along with their spouses, children, and grandchildren, created a vibrant and loving family network that she cherished deeply.

Throughout her life, Filomena exemplified strength, resilience, and compassion. She approached every challenge with grace and had a remarkable ability to bring people together. Her home was a haven filled with laughter, delicious meals, and an open door for family and friends.
