Evelyn Ruth Hamilton

Evelyn “Eve” Ruth Hamilton was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and

friend. She left this world peacefully in the company of her beloved Ken and family on October 26, 2022,

at age 81.

She was born in Queens NY and went to Grover Cleveland High School in Ridgewood Queens where she

met the love of her Life, Kenneth Hamilton. It didn’t take long for Evelyn and Ken to form a relationship.

Before we knew it, they were dating in 1955! It wasn’t long after that the two love birds went “Steady”

and found themselves in a lasting relationship. A Relationship that led to marriage.

That marriage lasted 60 years as documented this past September 14 th , 2022. During that time, Eve and

Ken parented Lorrie, Kenneth and Scott. They had blessed her with 6 grandchildren, Alana, Kristiana,

Tyler, Sedona, Krystian and Bryce.

The number “1” grandchild, Alana, gave birth to Evelyn and Ken’s first Great granddaughter, Hadley in

August of 2022.

Later in Evelyn’s life, her sons, Kenneth and Scott remarried. As a result of this, Evelyn’s nest grew.

Kenneth and Erica Hamilton, and Scott and Lisa Hamilton, added 5 more grandchildren to a now blended

family that includes Brandon, Dawn, Tina Marie, Georgie, and JJ.

Eve loved spending time at the church and was President with Kenneth of the MR. & Mrs. Club. Evelyn

was an original soccer mom back in the 70’s taking all kids to basketball and little league games.

Evelyn was a loyal wife, friend and defender of all her children, no matter what. Her fight for life thru 40

years of Multiple Sclerosis and the loss of her legs in 2019 and 2021 did not take her will, spirit or faith.

A viewing is scheduled for 7:00pm on Friday October 28, 2022, until 9:00pm at Cassidy Funeral Home. A Funeral Service is

scheduled for 8:30 am on Saturday October 29, 2022, 2020 at the Cassidy Funeral Home 156 Willis
