In Loving Memory of Eileen Curry Fitzgerald

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Eileen Fitzgerald, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and great aunt. Eileen left this world on December 17th 2023, surrounded by her family, in her own home, at the age of 89.

Eileen was born on May 17th 1934 in Brooklyn New York, the daughter of James and Molly Curry. She grew up with a

heart full of love and a devout Catholic faith that would shape her entire life. She loved all things Brooklyn, most especially the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Eileen was the loving wife of John Fitzgerald. He was the love of her life and together they shared a lifetime of

memories, joys, and challenges. At their 50th wedding anniversary celebration, Mom said that marrying Dad was the best decision of her life.

Their bond was a testament to the enduring power of love and commitment. They were fans of exploring the

world. Their travels took them from Ireland to Hawaii.. to Alaska with many adventures in between. But Breezy Point remained her favorite place on earth.

Eileen dedicated herself to creating a warm and nurturing home. As a devoted mother, Eileen poured her love and wisdom into her four children and their spouses: Eileen and John McGrath, John and Alice Fitzgerald, Michael Fitzgerald , and Tara and Mario Fuentes. She was a source of unwavering support, encouragement, and guidance, shaping the values and character of her children.

Eileen found immense joy in her role as a grandmother, loving her grandchildren Daniel, Julia, Caroline, Connor, Michael, Catherine, and Mario. She cherished the special moments spent with them, imparting the same love, warmth, and wisdom that she shared with her own children. She stayed connected through phone calls, texts and special cards written for every occasion. Her presence will be missed beyond what words can describe, but her example of a life well lived will continue to guide and inspire us all.

Beyond her immediate family, Eileen was a beloved aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Her kindness, generosity, and nurturing spirit touched the lives of extended family members, creating a network of love that

spanned generations.

Eileen Fitzgerald will be remembered not only for the love she gave but also for her unwavering faith in God.

May Eileen's soul rest in eternal peace, and may her family find solace in the cherished memories they shared with her.
