Edward Joseph Panzella

Edward Joseph Panzella, a friend to all he met, devoted husband to Ava and father to Mary Berry, Ed Panzella and Katherine Terry, passed away on December 3rd peacefully. He was born on January 5th. 1929, grew up in Bayside Queens. Veteran of the Navy he moved to Albertson, NY before settling in Mineola with his wife Ava to raise 3 children. He worked in NYC for ASARCO, a copper mining company, as a purchasing agent for over 40 years, commuting daily from Mineola to NYC on the Long Island Railroad.He is survived by 6 wonderful grandchildren, Connor Panzella, Kieran Panzella, Aidan Terry, Liam Terry, Sarah Berry and Will Berry, that he loved very much. As well his 3 nephews, William Panzella, Stephen Panzella and Dan Panzella.He loved all sports from golf to routing with great devotion for his Mets and football Giants to win.Patience was his virtue as he lived with epilepsy and learned to balance being a husband, father, uncle, friend and colleague to many without missing a beat on life.He was an active member and Past Grand Night of the local Corpus Christi Knights of Columbus Council for many years.In lieu of flowers, this wife and family ask that donations be made to https://www.kofc.org/en/what-we-do/charity/index.html
