Edith C. Bamberger

Edith C. Bamberger (92) passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022 peacefully at her home in Mineola, NY. Edith was married to her beloved late husband, Henry Bamberger Sr. since 1950. She was bornin New Jersey in 1929 but lived all her life in Mineola. Edith was a very active member of Corpus Christi Church and Catholic Daughters of America, having recently earned a prestigious 60 year pin. Edith loved singing in the Corpus Christi Choir and did so for many years. She was also a long time member of the Rosary Alter Society. Edith and Henry both came from very large families and they had many wonderful times enjoying their family, grandchildren and friends. In retirement, they enjoyed traveling cross country and spending time vacationing in the Poconos. Edith is survived by her children, Geri Hogan and her husband Glenn, Henry Jr., Mary Jo Russo and her husband John. Edith was an extremely proud and loving Grandmother to Kathryn DiCato, James Hogan, Christopher Russo and great grandmother to Lucy James and Graham Henry DiCato. She also has many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her sister Josephine Stellato. The family would like to express extreme gratitude to Edith's wonderful caregiver of three years, Samantha Dhankumari and recently Kaiden Cox Livingston. Family and friends are welcome for visitation at the Cassidy Funeral Home, 156 Willis Avenue, Mineola, NY 11501, on Thursday March 3, 2022 from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm. A funeral mass will take place at Corpus Christi Church, 155 Garfield Ave., Mineola, NY 11501 on Friday March , 2022 at 9:30am.
