David Hanley

David passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning March 12, 2025. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 53 years Nancy (Blekicki).

David and Nancy grew up in Mineola where they also raised their family. They retired to Surfside Beach SC. After Nancy passed away David returned to New York to live with his daughter Lynn in Westbury. He is survived by his children Mark Hanley (Ellen), Lynn Minchella (Dan), Brian Hanley and Scott Hanley: his grandchildren, Katie Lawton (Chris), Kimmy Stone (Evan), Dan Minchella (Kathryn), Krissy Kruk (Alex), David Hanley (Mariana), Jessica Bisgounis (Derrick) and Conner Hanley; and his great grandchildren Everett and Issac Lawton, Faith, Margaret, and Christina Stone, James, Jack and Scarlet Hanley, Cecilia Minchella, Alex Kruk, and Brooks Bisgounis.

David served proudly in the USMC. He was a Police Officer for the Lake Success Police Department for 37 years. He was also a former member of the Mineola Fire Department where he served as Captain and Warden for Company No. 3
