Arthur Francis Hager

September 2, 1933 — July 21, 2021

Arthur F. Hager, 87, passed away July 21, 2021,son of John J. and Bertha Louise (May) Hager; survived by  sisters Janet Bartnick and husband Alfred, Ann Secter and husband Charles; brothers John and wife Linda and Robert, and many nieces nephews and cousins. Graduate of Queens college and St John's University and veteran of the U.S Army serving in Germany. Career teacher in the Bethpage, L.I. school system. Retired to his beloved lake side home on Candlewood Lake in Sherman, Ct. where he lived until 2020 when he moved to Lake Grove, N.Y. for health reasons. Art was active in his Home Owner's Association and a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church serving as the scripture reader at Sunday Masses. A historian, avid boater and sports fan and participant, Art enjoyed the peace and natural beauty of his lake side setting as he lived out his retirement. A quiet, kind and insightful man, Art was loved by his family and liked and respected by all he encountered. Visitation: Monday July 26, 2021 from 9am to 10am Funeral Mass : Monday July 26, 2021; 10:30am at Corpus Christi Church Interment: Trinity Cemetery Amityville, NY
