Ann Marie Allen

It’s with complete heartbreak that we inform you that our Mom, Ann Marie Allen, passed away on March 25, 2023 at the age of 75.

Ann Marie was born and raised in Ridgewood, New York; daughter of Alfred and Anna Tavano and sister to Nancy. At the age of 14 her family moved to Floral Park, New York. After graduating Van Buren High School, she met and married Richard Allen of Bellerose, New York. They raised their two sons, Richard and James, in Mineola, New York. Widowed in 1989, she became a licensing clerk for the town of North Hempstead, a position she held until the time of her passing.

Mom was a quiet soul who was very generous. She enjoyed spending time with her family, Friday Mahjong with her besties, reading, watching game shows, and trying new recipes.

Ann Marie is survived by her two sons, Richard and James, daughter-in-law Lorelei, and grandchildren: Samantha, Richard, James, and Katherine. She was a wonderful woman who always took care of her family. We will all miss her terribly
